“The Furzedown Project is an activity centre for older people located in the community of Furzedown, in the borough of Wandsworth.
Our mission is to prevent social isolation among older people and help to improve the health, well-being and independence of our members.
We provide a lively programme of over twenty social, educational, recreational and health-promoting activities at our centre between 9.30am and 4.30pm five days a week. Many of these activity sessions are supported by our assisted transport service to enable some of our members with reduced mobility to attend.
We also offer a home visiting service that gives friendship and conversation to people who find it very difficult to get out of their own homes”
